A Short Bio
My name is Keith Brannum. I live in Istanbul, Türkiye, and I am proud voter from North Carolina!
While I have lived across the country (now the world), I grew up first in Alabama, and then North Carolina. I am the son of single mom and a brother to three wonderful sisters. My mom raised all of us to be strong and look out for each other, values that I carried with me into public service. Though I wanted to be a teacher, that dream changed when North Carolina Republicans began defunding our public schools and turned my state into a poster-boy for political power grabs and radical MAGA-politics.
So with my masters degree in public administration and tiny sedan, I started working with Democratic state parties and candidates in North Carolina and across the country to places such as Arizona, Michigan, New York and Virginia. I believe that candidates and our communities deserve not just a voice, but an organization that puts those voices in the rooms and at the ballot box.
During my work travel, I met my wonderful wife. Together with our daughter, we both believe in the power of public service. I want the world my daughter grows up in to be a place where she can have the same (and more) opportunities that I have had. This administration is determined to hurt families that do not fit its definition of what being “American” is. That is unacceptable - and that is why we cannot sit on the sidelines.
